In August last year I made my way to Stockholm. I had visited Sweden before and I was looking forward to making the return journey and catching up with old friends.
The most wonderful thing about revisiting a place, is that you get to go back to the bits you loved the most the first time. For me, in Stockholm, this means paying a visit to Fjallgatan Kaffestuga, a tiny café with a rather gorgeous view.
The first time I visited was about 6 years ago now and every time I go back, I go and enjoy the view with a coffee and fikke (usually an apple tart – it’s the best!).
The café is also located in a beautiful part of the city where you will get to walk past lovely examples of Swedish architecture and a beautiful church. It really is the perfect place for a weekend getaway and a little wander – you may even get lost and find something wonderful. If you do, be sure to let me know for my next visit.
