I arrived on Ithaca at midnight after a 15 hour journey involving a car, plane, taxi, bus and ferry. It was hot. It was beautiful. I was happy to have finally got there.
Since that night, over the last month, I’ve been taking a bit of time out to do something I haven’t done in a really long time… RELAX! After living in London for 7 years, I realised in Cyprus that I was finding it a little difficult to switch off… There’s always something to do, fix, reply to and whatever else. So when I arrived on Ithaca I decided to take time out for me and recharge properly.
My daily routine has looked a little something like this:
- Wake up late…
- 1-2 hours of work.
- Beach… Swim… Tan…
- Come home for dinner and a snooze.
- Go out dancing.
- Repeat!
It’s not a bad life and today I’m giving you a little window into my world and the place I have been spending the bulk of my time… Polis Beach – where I spend most of my time lying on the pebbles watching the boats come and go.
I’ve said it before. I will say it again. If you haven’t visited Ithaca yet, you should be planning a trip. Like… NOW!
I am visiting Ithaca in August and staying just above polis beach – Stavros is nearby. Where t eat, t party?
Hi Nick,
Polis Beach is a great location. Stavros is very close and there are a couple of restaurants there. But there is a bar called Fiorendino that gets very busy in the summer, as well as more restaurants, in Frikes. Everything is very close and easy to get to so you will have no problem finding your way around.
