Roberta Facchini, Italian Portraits, Maxeen Kim Photography

In September last year I flew to Puglia in the South of Italy, to a tiny town called Chieuti, to shoot a wedding with the talented and lovely Roberta Facchini. Roberta and I met through work (the wedding industry is full of fantastic people) and we hit it off immediately. So when she asked me to join her in Italy to work on a wedding, I didn’t think twice about saying yes.

Roberta is originally from Italy but, like me, started her business, Roberta Facchini Photography, after moving to London, working predominantly in Greece, Italy and the UK.

We spent 4 days in Italy. It was a gorgeous 34 degrees which was absolute bliss after leaving a very dreary and grey London. we had one day free, spending the morning on the beach and the afternoon exploring some of the towns in the area. We also decided to take a walk through an olive grove – a you do when in Italy – and decided to take the opportunity to do a portrait shoot for each other.

The light in Italy, as with most of the Med, is just beautiful and the olives where the perfect backdrop to work with. You really don’t need much more then that to make magic… These are some of my favourite images from Roberta’s Shoot.
