Harry and Cristina’s destination wedding in Kefalonia was a multi-island affair. Why get married on one Greek Island when you can split your celebrations over two? Their elegant evening reception took place at the Emelisse Resort Hotel in the village of Fiskardo. While the church ceremony took place in the early afternoon on the island next door.
The couple chose Agios Andreas, a small blue and white chapel, for their ceremony. Found on the island of Ithaca, the church sits above the rocks at the entrance of the bay of Vathi. With views out over the sea and of Ithaca itself, it’s the most romantic location for a wedding.
Agios Andreas is most easily accessed by boat. So the wedding party arrived from Fiskardo on two motor yachts; the ladies on one, and the gents on the other. Cristina’s father walked her up the little stone stairs to the church, where Harry was waiting, bouquet in hand.
After their ceremony, the couple and their guests made the most of the gorgeous weather with an afternoon of island hopping. They organised a delicious lunch, delivered by sea taxi from Vathi. And their friends and family got to explore some of Ithaca’s most secluded swim spots before heading back to Kefalonia to relax before the evening festivities.
Their reception took place on a private terrace at Emelisse Resort Hotel. Perched above the little port of Fiskardo at the island’s most northerly tip, it’s surrounded by cedar trees with breathtaking views of the Ionian Sea. Guests arrived just in time to enjoy the pastel sunset skies, before a long summer night of dinner and dancing.
