San Nicolas is a stylish boutique hotel on the Greek island of Lefkada. Located on the hillside above the Mikros Gialos bay, the hotel promises luxury and privacy with beautiful rooms and it’s own private beach.
Having to postpone their American honeymoon due to covid, Lelanie & Pieter-Uys opted for a ‘mini-moon’ closer to home in Greece. Having visited the Aegean Islands before, the couple wanted something a little more private and quieter for this special trip.
The Ionian Islands are beautifully lush, green and boast beautifully clear blue water. And with a private beach and sea views, the San Nicolas on Lefkada ticked all their boxes for a relaxed trip.
We planned their shoot to take place on the beach at sunset, making the most of the creamy evening light. It is also a great time to shoot as it’s usually the time that most people have left the beach to get ready for dinner. This means you generally have the beaches to yourself.
So on a warm August evening, we made our way down to the private beach to capture a bit of magic.
