The idea behind today’s Halloween Wedding Inspiration came to me after a conversation with a friends daughter. With a soft spot for intricate tattoos, fantastic purple hair and The Adams Family, shot told me how she would love a Halloween themed wedding after finding out I was born on the 31st October.
When I asked what she envisioned for her big day, she described a tasteful and elegant black dress and table settings filled with flowers and dramatic cow skull centre pieces. This got me thinking and slowly today’s shoot fell into place.
I wanted to create luxury Halloween wedding inspiration for the fine art, detail orientated bride who is dreaming of a beautiful yet alternative celebration. This is inspiration for the couple who play by their own rules and want an unconventional, yet gorgeous wedding with loads of flowers and statement centre pieces which will give their guests a night to remember.
I went with a more obvious Halloween colour scheme of red, black, grey and white, choosing to keep the darker colours for details so they didn’t over power the whole look. I incorporated an air of ‘all things dead’ using a silver cow skull (don’t worry – it’s not a real one) but softened the look with a ribbon and bow around one of the cow’s horns.
The stationery was designed by the talented Lauren of Oh Wonder Calligraphy. It was designed in white, metallic and grey to bring together the colour scheme with an art décor motif in the corners. It was just perfect for completing the look, with the calligraphy place names continuing to soften the look.
