We landed at the airport in Pescara to meet the most beautiful and excited bride. It was the evening and it was warm in Italy. Coming from London, this was something that made me very happy. We found our way to the car, loaded our bags and headed out of the parking lot and down the highway towards Chieuti.
Chieuti is a quintessentially Italian town and commune in the province of Foggia in the Apulia region of southeast Italy. Surrounded by olive trees and a short drive from the beach it’s the perfect place for a quiet and romantic get away.
Roberta and I had come to Italy to shoot the wedding of Iole and Umberto. We decided to arrive two days early so we could do the couples’ destination engagement shoot in an olive grove owned by the brides family. This also gave us some time to do a bit of exploring.
Chieuti is filled with beautiful old buildings, tree lined streets and Vespas. All with stunning views of the olive groves. This is just one of the many benefits of getting married in Europe. Everywhere you look, there is beauty and history. With so many textures, views and backdrops to choose from, we were completely spoilt for choice when it came to beautiful places for the couples bridal portraits.
These are some of my favourite images from our little wander around gorgeous Chieuti. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them.
