In late November I caught up with Dallyn and Tereza and the little addition to their family, Keegan. I previously shot the couple’s engagement, wedding and maternity photos, so to be asked to now do a family shoot for them was such a joy.
I usually organise my family photography sessions to take place outdoors. However, winter in the UK makes this a risky business with a tot as tiny as little Keegan. If you are planning on booking your own family shoot for the winter months, the best advice I could give you would be to follow Dallyn and Tereza’s school of thought and choose a venue with big windows and quirky details. Somewhere that you can sit warmly indoors but still benefit from loads of beautiful, soft light.
In this case, Hotel du Vin in Wimbledon with its gorgeous gardens and windowed bistro fit the bill and the couple got to enjoy a cup of coffee while I documented their precious family time together. These are a few of the images from their session.
