Cat Hepple is a fine art photographer and, quite fantastically, a friend of mine. During my time in Cyprus I was lucky enough to do a portrait session with this wonderful woman on Corallia Beach in Paphos. Corallia Beach during the late afternoon and at sunset is just the most perfect place to shoot and on the day of Cat’s portraits the beautiful afternoon light did not disappoint.
I’ve recently been hugely inspired by Cat and her pursuit of her passions. I have always loved her work as it is just so feminine and glamorous but recently, where I have followed my heart towards travel and destination weddings, she has followed hers into the wonderful world of boudoir photography.
She announced the new direction of her business with a beautiful, moving and honest blog post – which made me want to high five her! – followed by the launch of her absolutely stunning new boudoir website The Sweet Reveal.
I know how hard it is to follow your true passion into the unknown, and building a niche business can be a hugely scary experience. I have found that you need to be careful with whom you share your dreams. You will question your sanity at times and whether you can actually make it work, and on occasions you will need to just push forward and trust your gut. There are times in life when I cannot explain logically why something will work… I just know! So watching Cat take her business in this new and beautiful direction, in such an honest and brave way, has been both exciting and inspiring to me.
