Iole and Umberto’s Italian wedding is one I will never forget! Not only did they surrounded themselves with 250 guests – wow! They also split their wedding festivities over two different Italian regions. It’s not often you get to say you’ve been an Apulia wedding photographer and an Abruzzo wedding photographer on the same day!
Their ceremony took place in the tiny Italian village of Chieuti in Apulia. A location close to the bride’s heart because it’s where she grew up. This meant she could spend her morning getting dressed in her family home.
The couple chose a yellow and white colour scheme for their day, to reflect their happiness. The bride decided on a stylish bridal bouquet of white Cala lilies. Decorating the traditional Italian church with baskets of white and yellow roses.
The reception was held at the Convivium Hotel in the city of Vasto. Vasto is a quaint city by the Adriatic Sea in the unspoilt region of Abruzzo. Known for its fresh fish, the old town boasts beautiful views of a long sandy beach and blue sea.
In true Italian fashion, the couple’s celebrations started with drinks and an aperitif buffet. The seafood buffet took place on the Convivium Hotel grounds, offering a huge choice of canapés for the guests to enjoy. This part of the day worked well as it gave everyone time to chat ahead of the more formal main meal.
Iole and Umberto organised a live band to entertain their guests throughout the reception. Once the evening festivities began, the band sang, as well as leading the couple and their guests on the dancefloor. The party continued late into the night, as the bride, groom and guests definitely remembered their dancing shoes for this wedding!
